Re: Can't put in reverse. That means you are playing on simple automatic transmission. Change it to real automatic or sequential to get a different button for reversing. In other words, change your gear to reverse then accelerate as opposed to brake and reverse being the same key.
Hello, is there anything like a Lane keeping assistant? I'd even take a mod. At least for some long cruises on highways. The problem is I don't own a steering wheel, so I have to play on the keyboard. And having to tap a key to steer every second or so causes me unbearable pain in my wrists after merely an hour of gameplay, so I can't really enjoy the game. I don't really have any problem
Start\Stop Engine = Hat switch Right. Left+Right Blinkers = Left and Right Bumpers. (Button 4 and 5) Light Mode = B (Button 3) High Beam = Y (button 1) Wipers = X (Button 2) Cruise Control = A (Button 0) HUD CONTROLS. Toggle Route Advisor Mode F3 = Left Analog Stick Button 8.
After assigning the wheel (X axis), throttle (Y axis), brake (RZ axis) and clutch (SLIDER 2 axis) in the game controler options, the game keyboard options recognize well only my left stick gamepad ( as UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT inputs ) and all the gamepad buttons but not the right stick. The right stick axis gamepad has two axis; Z plus and minus
Anything you need to know about the OP's product, is already showed as pictures, and with a good description. "Ets/Ets2/Ats custom ******control pad gaming keyboard******" i should think says it all, and there are 3 atm one of which is not in original box with reduced postage for uk.
Keyboard and Mouse allows you to assign any keyboard function such as blinkers, wipers, Cruise Control, lights etc. to any of your PC's recognised MOUSE buttons, such as MOUSE1 and 2, the mousewheel button press, the mousewheel rotate down- and up- buttons, and any additional buttons your mouse supports, use these to your full advantage.
To steer smooth you just tap the keys. The steering sensitivity must not be too high to achieve this. Leave everything as default, they're adjusted for keyboard use already. #5. kevin1957 Apr 12, 2015 @ 6:17pm. ive never used anything except k.board mouse.w-throttle,q-e -indicators,a-d-steer,s-brake,r-engine,mouse-look.
Use keyboard and assign your controller buttons to the secondary box of the function you want. Fo the analog stick I believe you need to go to controls tab and make sure gamepad is selected. As you have limited buttons I tend to stick with the right trigger as the gas and then set 2 buttons to increase and decrease in gear while set to automatic.
It's Documents > American Truck Simulator > mod, if you didn't. Now we need to unpack the truck file. Copy the [truck].scs file you want to modify and paste it into the folder with the SCS Extractor tool. Drag the truck file onto the scs_extractor application and wait for it to work.
