The Bad: Vlandian Pikeman. The Best. It may lack a throwing weapon, and have mediocre armour, but the Shock Troop’s weapon is incredible. Its “spear” is basically a 2 hander, 155 swing damage, although only 66 speed, but also a spear with 41 thrust damage, 90 thrust speed, and 205 length.
4. Sturgian Druzhinnik Champion. Let’s be honest, Bannerlord is not “the” game that one would play for the ultimate Viking experience, unless you have a fetish. Besides the weaknesses of Sturgians, Druzhinnik Champion is most likely to be their best contribution to the battlefields of Calradia.
The point of Vlad Crossbowmen is you can field a whole lot of them and they are easily replaceable. Any crossbow will pack a punch anyway so their 130 crossbow skill won't be a detriment. The f*ckers are still much more accurate than archers (I've been hit too many times by them from so far away to not know this) #6.

Vlandia is the mounted knights faction and their maxed out noble cavalry (banner knights) are probably the best melee cavalry. Empire, khuzait, and sturgia have good melee cavalry too so if you need recruits I wouldn’t hesitate to grab some of their units too if you need to get more troops while you are away from vlandian lands.
